Our Approach

Since we were founded in 2002, 121 Fitness has focused on providing a more personalised and 1-2-1 service rather than being part of a large gym environment.

All you have to do is find 60 minutes in your day and we do the rest.
We ensure programmes are challenging yet realistic and we believe that variety is a key component to your effective exercise programme, as this helps to motivate you by keeping exercise fresh and exciting.

Whatever your personal goals, 121 Fitness will create an approach just for you, working with you to provide the motivation you need to achieve sustainable results.

What you can expect

A personal consultation, including some light exercises, will help us to understand your goals, physical well-being, concerns and current fitness levels. From this we can agree a training approach that’s right for you.

Whether you decide to come to the studio, train at home or download our app, you will receive a varied and flexible training programme. Cycling, running, boxing, kettlebells, suspension training, cardio vascular machines and weight training are just a few examples of the ways we might train.

Gym Memberships

We are proud of our fitness studio that offers a wide range of equipment and and we are offering full or weekend memberships upon request. Equipment available includes: Nautilus X trainer and treadmill, Schwinn assault bike, Concept 2 Ski-erg and rowing machine, plate loaded cable machine, leg press/hack squat, dumbbells, barbells, boxing stand and much more.


Dan Savage – Personal Trainer & Founder of 121 Fitness

With 20+ years of experience as a personal trainer, Dan has built up an enviable reputation for providing excellent client service. He achieves this by combining his deep knowledge and experience with a fun, fresh and personable approach.
Dan has a BSC Hons Sport and Leisure Management, YMCA Level 3 in Personal Training, Circuit Training, Certificate in Sports fitness and sports therapy, REPS Public liability insurance, Premier Kettlebell level 1. Current first aid certificate.


Sarah Weir – Personal Trainer

Sarah fell in love with fitness 10 years ago after having her children. She made the decision to retrain and change her job to become an Instructor and Personal Trainer and has never looked back. She is committed to helping 121 Fitness clients reap all the rewards of exercise – from improved general fitness to improved mental well-being.
Sarah provides a variety of programmes which are tailored to individual needs. So whether you want a 1-2-1 session or prefer to train with a friend, or you are new to training, getting your fitness back or looking for advanced training, Sarah can help.

Sarah is an L3 Personal Trainer and Children’s fitness instructor. She is an assessor and tutor and has Trained in three Les Mills programmes, indoor cycle and Exercise to Music.

I really enjoy my personal training with Dan, he makes fitness fun and each session is tailor made just for me. His dedication, encouragement and support is superb both physically and mentally.


I have been training with 121Fitness for over 5 years. Dan is easy going and made me feel really comfortable. He has the whole package from nutrition to fitness, is personal to you, meets individual needs and goals. I've never looked back. I look at fitness now as a way of life.


Dan is a professional and great motivator. He makes working out fun and always encourages me to go that extra mile.


I always struggled to get into a regular routine with exercise and often felt intimidated by gyms and classes. As a result, my weight was constantly fluctuating. I started training with 121Fitness and Dan has been a great motivator. My fitness levels have really improved and I no longer feel intimated by exercise. Now I am seeing the results, I wish had done it sooner.

I have been training with Dan for around seven years. He is very knowledgeable and adapts my training to suit my needs, whether that be strength training for triathlon, general functional training or running with me. Our training has mostly been at my home but due to the current situation the sessions are currently taking place online. We are still able to have very productive sessions over the iPad.
